Many of the best Space Marine recruits are drawn from low-tech deathworld planets or captured from the gangs of psychotic killer scum roaming the underhives of world-cities. Their barely-controlled violent instincts require the oversight of the Space Marine Field Police. (Text from Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader, 1987, quoted below:)

Sonic Prime *major spoilers*

That’s that.

And that was awesome. In fact, we are not quite ready to say goodbye to that. And by that, we of course mean #sonic prime, which has just wrapped up season two. Dear Reader, we find ourselves in bits. It all went by in a blue blur and now, it seems, we must sit tight until season three. Which is as yet painfully unconfirmed. It is in fact so unfair, it is beginning to feel like a checkmate for atheism, but to hedge our bets, we will be praying with every last cherry on top that the next season will come around, and come around quickly. But it was also a reminder that things have rarely been so good for the Sonic fandom community. The films are beloved, there is a lot of fun to be had with the 2D games, and there was even a lot of love for Sonic Frontiers. While the games admittedly continue to garner a mixed reception, our blue beloved’s on-screen efforts have seemingly never been so good. And Sonic Prime, above all else, is a reminder of what riotous fun there is to be had with these iconic characters. We should be so lucky. We really should.

In the wait until the next season, the Sonic fandom community here on Tumblr will keep you ticking over very nicely indeed. There are gifs, fanart, and discourse in abundance. Did we mention @mactheactor himself is here?
